Project Blackout

In honor of National Poetry Month, how about we poets get together for a group project and collaborate? I have recently been trying my hand at Blackout Poetry, the form in which you construct poems using newspaper articles. Me and a friend were recently talking and we thought it would be pretty cool to have a group of poets write one Blackout poem each using the same article, and then share our work with each other. I think this would be an amazing thing, to see how different poets create different poems using the same source material. And so, this is where you lovely folks come in at. Let’s do it and see what happens! If you’re interested in participating in Project Blackout, let me know. Reblog if any of your followers might be interested. Peace and Love to you all.

I think this is a GREAT way to celebrate National Poetry Writing Month. Just post the news article, and we will take it from there!

Thanks a lot granbee! Glad your interested in participating in this. This Thursday, I’ll be posting the article. Ideally, since this is in honor of National Poetry Month, I think it would be best if the poems were completed while it is still April. And with that, I suppose that Friday, April 27th is a good deadline to have the poems completed by. I’ll edit this post when I get the newspaper article and come up with a game plan. Peace.
